Implants vs. dentures
Fixed teeth or a removable denture: what the difference means.
Published studies find that complete denture wearers bite with only about one fifth to one fourth of the force of people with natural teeth, and that patients with fixed implant teeth chew better than denture wearers, though not quite as well as people with natural teeth. Fixed implant teeth also stay in place, cause no denture sore spots, and help preserve the jawbone. The table below shows the differences line by line.
| Feature | Full-Mouth Implants | Traditional Dentures |
|---|---|---|
| Stability | Fixed and secure | Removable, may slip |
| Chewing power | Better than dentures, close to natural teeth | About one fifth to one fourth of natural bite force |
| Bone preservation | Prevents bone loss | Bone loss continues |
| Comfort | Feels natural, no rubbing | Can cause sore spots |
| Longevity | Can last for decades with appropriate care | Periodic relines and replacement |
What to expect
Three visits. Zero guesswork.
Full-mouth implant treatment at Wyo Dental Implants takes 3 visits: a consultation with a CBCT scan, a preoperative records visit, and surgery day, when you receive fixed temporary teeth immediately. Your implants then fuse with the bone over 3 to 6 months before the final set is delivered, and travelers can combine the records and surgery visits.
Your initial consultation
Meet the team, talk through your goals, and get an exam with a CBCT scan the same day. You leave with real answers, including your all-inclusive price.
Preoperative records
Scans, photos, and impressions using our advanced technology, plus your prescriptions and morning-of instructions. Travelers can combine this visit with surgery day.
Surgery & your new smile
You take a relaxing pill an hour before arriving, sleep through the procedure, and wake up with a beautiful set of fixed temporary teeth. Most patients don’t remember a thing.
Included in your initial charges:
All post-op visits and up to 3 sets of teeth. If you accept the complete treatment plan, you will not be asked for payment after the first visit.
Watch, then decide
Patients on the moment everything changed.
The highlights reel: Wyo Dental Implants patients describing full-mouth treatment in their own words: the failing teeth, the surgery, and eating normally again. Most patients enjoy soft foods within 1 to 2 days of surgery and return to full eating function within a few weeks.

The details that matter before you commit.
How do full-mouth implants compare to dentures?
Published studies find that complete denture wearers bite with only about one fifth to one fourth of the force of people with natural teeth, and that patients with fixed implant teeth chew better than denture wearers, though not quite as well as people with natural teeth. Fixed implant teeth also stay in place, cause no denture sore spots, and help prevent ongoing bone loss.
What is included in the price?
Everything: sedation, any extractions, removal of infected tissue, implant placement, and your temporary and final teeth. All post-op visits and up to 3 sets of teeth are included in the initial charges, and if you accept the complete treatment plan, you will not be asked for payment after the first visit.
How long does the whole process take?
Surgery day gives you fixed temporary teeth immediately. Over the following 3 to 6 months your implants fuse with the bone. Then new impressions are taken and your final, stronger set is delivered and adjusted to fit.
What are the final teeth made of?
Your final bridge starts as a solid block of Prettau® Zirconia, hand-colored and polished to match natural teeth and gums. Zirconia withstands significant pressure and resists chipping, fractures, and wear, and it looks very close to healthy natural teeth.
Why does bone health matter so much?
Your new teeth anchor into your jawbone, and tooth roots are what keep that bone alive. Implants replace missing roots, signaling your body to keep growing healthy bone, which preserves your facial structure and a more youthful appearance. Smoking, diabetes, and years without teeth all wear bone away, which is why an imaging-based evaluation comes first.
Book a Consultation
Come find out what's possible for your smile.
An All-on-X consultation with a CBCT scan shows exactly where you stand, even if you've been told you don't have the bone for implants. Angled implant placement lets most patients qualify without grafting, and the consultation ends with one written, all-inclusive price covering surgery, temporary and final teeth, and every post-op visit.
